Our view of the service
Date of assessment: 16 April to 24 April 2025. We visited the service on 16, 22 and 24 April 2025. Millcroft is a care home providing support to adults of all ages living with dementia and physical disabilities. At the time of our inspection there were 35 people living at the service.
People’s needs were assessed, monitored and reviewed. Staff worked closely with healthcare professionals to ensure people's health needs were met. Staff and leaders communicated effectively with people and their relatives, where appropriate, to ensure they were fully up to date and involved in their care. The provider had systems in place to monitor the quality and safety of the service. Leaders had established a culture of learning and saw feedback as a positive opportunity to further develop the service. There were enough staff to meet people’s needs, and they received the training and support they needed to support people safely. Medicines were managed well and people received annual reviews of their prescribed medicines from the pharmacist. Staff had been trained in safeguarding and demonstrated their understanding of their responsibilities to protect and keep people safe. People were treated with kindness and their dignity and privacy were respected.
