Our view of the service
Harrow Group GP Practice is a GP practice registered with the Care Quality Commission under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 to provide the following regulated activities: diagnostic and screening procedures, family planning, midwifery and maternity services, surgical procedures, and treatment of disease, disorder, or injury. We conducted an inspection comprising two elements: an off-site assessment on 17 December and an on-site assessment on 18 December 2024.
The practice is in an area with a deprivation score of 4 (1 being more deprived and 10 being less deprived). The patient list is 16,000, with the ethnicity breakdown being 48.6% White, 17.1% Black, 22.8% Asian, 6.2% Mixed and 5.4% Other. During the inspection, we found one breach of regulation relating to safe care and treatment. We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found.
We assessed a total of thirty-one evidence categories across three key questions. We have combined the scores for these areas with scores based on the rating from the last inspection, which was good. Our rating for this practice remains good overall.
People's experience of this service
Most people were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent survey results, including those from the National GP Patient Survey and the NHS Friends and Family Test, showed that people were usually satisfied with services. An active patient participation group (PPG) represented the views of people using the service. Representatives from the PPG described how managers were receptive to their feedback.
