Our view of the service

Date of inspection: 3 March 2025 to 20 March 2025. F&A Care Support Services Ltd is a domiciliary care agency and provides personal care to people living in their own homes. CQC only inspects where people are receiving the regulated activity personal care. At the time of this inspection 27 people were receiving support with personal care. This inspection was triggered by information of concern received by external organisations. This is the first inspection for F&A Care and Support Services Ltd. At the time of our inspection, the provider was working towards an action plan which was put in place with the support of the local authority and was making progress. The provider was also working on strengthening the effectiveness of their governance systems to ensure they would always recognise and act when people’s care records required updating. All relatives and people we spoke with told us the delivery of care was safe and effective. Staff understood people’s care needs and the risks associated with their care. The provider had reviewed their recruitment processes and policies following lessons learnt. Staff worked with other services to ensure people’s needs were met effectively. Staff demonstrated a good understanding of people's individual needs. People were involved in decisions about their care. People and their relatives had been involved in developing their care plans and setting out how they wanted to receive care. People had been supported to express their wishes about future care needs.
