Workforce wellbeing and enablement
The provider cared about and promoted the wellbeing of their staff and supported and enabled staff to deliver person-centred care. All staff members we spoke with told us they now felt valued, respected, and supported within their roles. A staff member told us, “With the new manager it has improved things and head office come in and offered support, I feel we are turning a corner.” Team meetings were held to discuss issues relevant to the service or staff experience.
Prior to the new management team starting, the staff had not received regular supervision and appraisal. Since the new manager had started, all staff had received 1 supervision, and plans were in place to implement appraisals within the next few months.
