Safeguarding
The provider safeguarding policies, procedures, and processes were efficient, and followed current, relevant legislation. Where appropriate, people and those important to them were involved in this process and informed about what action would be taken to keep people safe.
Involving people to manage risks
People had any risks to them assessed, and up to date risk assessments, and care plans were in place to help staff minimise, and prevent risks. Identified risks included supporting people with their mobility, and personal care. This meant staff had up to date information about the action they should take to manage these risks and keep people safe. The staff were supported, and enabled by the processes, and systems to report concerns, incidents, and accidents in a timely way. This kept people safe, minimised risks, incidents, accidents and reduced the possibility that they may be repeated. This meant the provider had good oversight of risks, and was able to efficiently manage them. The registered manager, and management team completed regular audits and care plans were updated if new risks were identified. A person said, “I do pretty much what I want, and staff are there to support me when I need it.”
