Kindness, compassion and dignity

Regulations met

Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion.

A patient told us, “I am disabled. I phone ahead of my appointment they always make I have a space outside the practice as I use a walker to walk with. Reception staff are very friendly somehow they remember who you are before you even sit down. My dentist is fully aware that I am a nervous patient. He makes sure I’m always comfortable with what he’s doing before he puts any instrument in my mouth. Management are also very friendly and don’t mind having a chat with me. The practice as a whole is clean and professional. But also have that personal touch.”

Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.

We were provided with a patient survey from September 2025. This showed us that from 24 responses received, 94% were very positive and 4% somewhat positive.

People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.

Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported.

One staff member told us, “I am very happy working here. I don’t feel like it is a stressful environment, we all look out for each other.”
