The provider promoted people’s independence, so people knew their rights and had choice and control over their own care. We received good feedback in relation to independence of choice and control. People’s comments included “I prefer a shower every day. I don’t have to wait for one, I usually have one after breakfast. We discussed a routine, and they come and shower me.” and “They don’t come in and take over, they do reassure me. I like to be independent; I can decide what I want to wear. They put my clothes on the bed. It’s a lot better for me.”
