Kindness, compassion and dignity

Regulations met

Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

We were told, “The team is friendly, professional, and made me feel at ease from the moment I arrived. The reception staff were welcoming and efficient, and appointments ran on time, which I really appreciated.”

Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion.

Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.

We were told, “The team is friendly, reassuring, and genuinely caring. The team consistently demonstrates professionalism, compassion, and a patient‑centred approach. Staff take time to explain treatments clearly, ensuring patients feel informed, reassured, and involved in their care.”

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.

We were provided with a patient survey which demonstrated positive results.

People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.

We saw the general environment helped to protect patients’ privacy and dignity. We were told patients were offered an alternative area to speak privately should they wish.

Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported.
