Our view of the service
The date of assessment: 7 April 2026. This was a planned assessment of the service due to aged inspection ratings. We did not receive any concerns regarding the service.
People received safe and effective care, with systems in place to manage risk and promote learning, supported by staff training, incident reporting and patient feedback. The service was well-led, with a culture of continuous improvement and person-centred care.
People's experience of this service
We spoke to 5 patients in the service. Patients were positive about the staff treating them with warmth and kindness and providing effective care and treatment. Patients with protected characteristics felt supported. Patients confirmed their pain was well managed and they were supported to move around as much as possible after their operation. Patients felt they could get assistance if needed. Patients told us they were given time to ask questions about their procedure and staff had checked they understood what they were having done.
