Our view of the service

Date of assessment: 26 May to 12 June 2026. Albury Care Limited is a domiciliary care agency providing the regulated activity personal care to people living in their own homes. The service supports adults over 65 years, people with dementia, mental health conditions, physical disabilities and sensory impairments. At the time of this assessment the service was supporting 28 people.

Staff had been recruited safely and provided with an induction when they started work. Further training and support made sure staff had the knowledge, skills and competence to safely provide care. The provider had various resources available for staff to promote their wellbeing. Staff told us they really enjoyed their work and felt extremely well supported by leaders.

People had their medicines as prescribed. If there were specific requirements for medicines this was recorded in people’s care records. Risks to people’s safety had been assessed and detailed risk management plans provided staff with guidance. These were regularly reviewed. Care plans were personalised and there was evidence of partnership working with healthcare professionals. The care planning system used was electronic which enabled leaders to make changes or updates in a timely way.

Staff understood safeguarding procedures and knew how to raise concerns. Incidents and accidents were recorded and reviewed. The registered manager analysed what had happened and monitored for any trends which helped to reduce the risks of recurrence.

Governance arrangements were established and enabled the registered manager to have good oversight of all areas of the service. Regular audits and checks were completed to assess quality and safety for a wide range of areas. Regular surveys were completed with people, relatives and staff which enabled leaders to monitor people’s feedback and make sure people were having the care they wanted.
