Our view of the service
Date of Assessment: 26 November 2025. Epicare is a homecare agency. It provides personal care to people living in their own houses and flats in the community. At the time of our inspection there were 11 people using the service. This is the first assessment for this registered service. At this assessment the service has been rated good. The provider worked with people and healthcare partners to establish and maintain safe systems of care, in which safety was managed or monitored. Staff shared concerns quickly and appropriately. The provider made sure there were enough qualified, skilled and experienced staff, who received effective support, supervision and development. The service made sure people’s care and treatment was effective by assessing and reviewing their health, care, wellbeing and communication needs with them. The provider supported people to manage their health and wellbeing to maximise their independence, choice and control.
The service provided information people could understand. People knew how to give feedback and were confident the service took it seriously and acted on it. The service was easy to access and worked to eliminate discrimination. People received care that was fair and equal treatment. Staff felt supported to give feedback and were treated equally and free from bullying or harassment.
We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.
