All Inspections

31 January 2014

During a routine inspection

At the time of the inspection there were no people we could speak with who were using the service. We relied on other methods to judge compliance with the regulations.

We found the provider ensured people's consent was obtained in accordance with legal requirements. People had provided informed and voluntary consent, and only people who had the capacity to consent did so about their care or treatment.

People were protected against abuse or neglect because the provider had a satisfactory system in place to prevent and identify it.

The premises where the service were located were safe, fit for purpose and maintained. The security of people who use the service, staff and others was considered and managed to prevent risks to people.

There was a robust complaints system in place which people who use the service were made aware of. Complaints were acknowledged, investigated and where possible, resolved to people's satisfaction.

The registered manager had received necessary training in order to manage the regulated activity. Further training was planned to ensure the manager had the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure people had safe, effective and well-led care.
