Our view of the service

Date of assessment 20 May 2026 to 1 June 2026.

We assessed the service due to the length of time since the last inspection. The service provides personal care and accommodation to people with learning disabilities. At the time of the assessment, there were 5 people receiving a regulated activity.

The service provided support to people with a learning disability and autistic people. We assessed the service against ‘Right support, Right care, Right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.

The service supported people in line with ‘Right support, Right care, Right culture’. People regularly accessed the community and took part in activities in line with their interests. People were supported by staff who knew them well. People were offered choices and were supported to be independent.

Staff spoke positively about working for the service. They felt training was comprehensive and felt well supported. Leaders completed a range of audits to ensure compliance.

People's experience of this service

We spoke with 3 people at the service, sought feedback from some relatives, and completed observations of care to gather people’s experience. People were supported by kind and caring staff who knew them well. People told us they felt safe and would feel comfortable speaking with staff if they were worried about anything. People liked the staff, the activities they completed and their rooms.

Relatives also provided positive feedback about the service. Relatives commented, “The home is very good, [person] loves [the staff]” and “For us, it’s a home not a facility, it is homely and welcoming. [Person] is having the best experience [person] could, staff are supportive and kind.”

Relatives felt people’s risks were safely managed and had no concerns. They told us their family member was supported to access the community regularly such as day trips, the seaside, zoos and the pub. Relatives felt staff supported their family member’s independence. All relatives spoke positively about the management team.
