This means we looked for evidence that the hospital met people’s needs.
At our last assessment we rated this key question Requires Improvement. At this inspection, the rating has now improved and is good.
The service had clear admission policies and monitored length of stay. Staff met regularly to discuss how to support upcoming discharges and avoid delayed discharges. Patients had access to spiritual and religious support, and were clear about the need to be sensitive in respecting the needs of transgender patients. Staff supported patients with activities outside the service, such as education and family relationships. The service had clear processes on how to make a complaint and staff knew how to handle these.
