Our view of the service

We inspected Wear Recovery from 29 to 31 July 2025. The service provides care and treatment for people with drug and alcohol addictions.

Wear Recovery was registered with the Care Quality Commission in March 2022 to deliver the following regulated activity:

• Treatment of disease, disorder or injury.

The service had a controlled drugs accountable officer and a registered manager.

The service comprises 4 hubs in the Tyne and Wear area: Riverview Health Centre and Laura Street in Sunderland, Houghton Health Centre in Houghton-Le-Spring and Washington Health Centre in Washington. We inspected all 4 of these hubs during our inspection.
