Our view of the service
The assessment was carried out between 29 July to 01 August 2025. This assessment was undertaken in line with CQC assessment programme. The service provides personal care to older people and younger adults. This assessment has been completed following the Care Quality Commission (CQC) new approach to assessment; Single Assessment Framework (SAF).
We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance
make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.
People's care records and risk assessments were in place and reflected people’s needs in their home environment. Quality assurance processes were effective in highlighting issues to ensure improvement continued.
People’s medicines were well managed by trained and competent staff, and the provider acted on safeguarding concerns, accidents and incidents. Guidance and assessments provided by other health and social care professionals were used to form meaningful care plans. Staff received regular training and access to relevant training courses were available to ensure staff developed their skills. This helped to improve people’s experiences and reduced the risk of harm.
People were protected and kept safe. Staff understood, managed and acted on risks. Staff monitored people’s health to support healthy living. Staff made sure people understood their care needs to enable them to give informed consent. Staff involved those important to people to assist them with making decisions should they have reduced or no capacity.
People were treated with kindness and compassion. Staff supported people’s independence and encouraged and supported them to maintain social contacts within their community.
Staff provided information to people in a way that they could understand. This included information provided in accessible formats. People knew how to give feedback and were confident the management team listened and acted upon their views.
The management team had effective governance systems in place that identified risks and encouraged development to ensure people received a reliable service.
