We found this practice was providing caring services in accordance with the relevant regulations and had taken into consideration appropriate guidance.

Kindness, compassion and dignity
Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.
Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included, “All staff are always helpful and kind,” and “A caring professional dentist.”
Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion. Patients’ comments included, “Care, kindness and patience,” and “Gentle treatment enabling us to still eat crunchy food.”
Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.
Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.
We were provided with patient surveys and feedback. The results were wholly positive with many reviews highlighting the professionalism, friendliness and caring nature of the team.
People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported. Staff told us, “I feel involved in the future of the practice as I have had discussions with our manager regarding social media and how it could be a useful tool in the future. I also feel any ideas I do discuss are taken on board. I feel staff feedback that leads to changes is a positive step for the future of the practice.” Also, “I feel respected and valued in my role and really do appreciate the way [the provider and practice manager] look after staff and it is a positive work environment to be in. Acts of kindness such as crown collection money being shared between nurses and a lovely Christmas party every year makes me feel valued.”
