Key findings

We carried out this assessment between 10 and 25 July 2026. This service was previously rated as good. We carried out this assessment to confirm whether the rating of good remains accurate. This report does not provide detailed information on areas where we found practice continues to meet a good standard. Instead, our findings focus on any areas where the service needs to improve or where we found exceptional practice.

The provider had effective recruitment practices to ensure new staff were recruited safely. They also ensured there were enough trained and competent staff available to meet people’s needs in a timely way. A staff member said, “Staffing levels are generally suitable to meet people’s needs, and rotas are planned to ensure people receive safe, effective care.” Medicines were managed safely with accurate records maintained of the medicines people were given.

Staff spoke positively about the culture of the service and the personalised care provided. A staff member said, “The care is person-centred and focused on meeting each individual’s needs.” Staff consistently told us managers were approachable and supportive. They felt able to raise concerns and believed people were safe when receiving care. A staff member said, “I feel very supported, I get clear guidance when needed if I am unsure about anything. And I feel respected and valued around the people I work with.”

Care records were person-centred and included detailed information about people’s life histories, health conditions, preferences, risks and support needs. Accurate daily records were kept showing people received personalised and responsive support, including personal care, medicines, nutrition and emotional wellbeing. Staff monitored changes in people’s health and involved relatives where appropriate.

The provider had a structured approach to quality assurance which included regular audits covering the quality of care records, medicines management and training compliance. These were effective in identifying areas for improvement and learning.
