Our view of the service

We inspected Turning Point – Stanfield House from 19 to 20 May 2026, due to the age of the previous rating. The service was inspected on 5 previous occasions, November 2012, January 2014, May 2016, October 2018, and January 2024.

Turning Point – Stanfield House was registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) on 8 February 2011 to deliver the regulated activity ‘Accommodation for persons who require treatment for substance misuse’.

The service provides residential rehabilitation and day services to people aged 18 to 65, who are recovering from the impact of substance and alcohol misuse. The service has 11 beds and can provide care to people of all genders. At the time of our inspection, there were 11 people staying at the service. Funding for placements was provided by local authorities in the area that people usually live. People could also pay privately for care.
