Our view of the service

This inspection was completed on 19 August 2025. It was undertaken as part of our ongoing scheduled inspection plan.

Allington House provides both residential rehabilitation and detoxification services. It opened in September 1996. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered the service in January 2011. It is registered to provide accommodation for persons requiring treatment for substance misuse.

Allington House can provide treatment for up to 16 clients; for all sexes and genders. Clients receive assessment and individual structured therapeutic plan of resettlement and reintegration, community based medically assisted withdrawal, residential treatment, aftercare and support.

At the time of our inspection there were 14 clients receiving treatment. Clients using the service are either self-funded or funded by statutory organisations such as local authorities.

CQC previously inspected Allington House on 31 January 2025, the service was compliant with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (regulated activities) regulations 2010. There were no breach of regulations at that inspection.
