Our view of the service

Date of Assessment: 3 to 11 June 2026. The service is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care to adults and children living with physical disabilities, learning disabilities or autism, dementia and mental health needs. This is the first assessment for this newly registered service.

We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’. This guidance supported judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choice, independence and access to local communities that most people take for granted.

People received care from a staff team who were trained and understood their needs. Staff had been safely recruited. People’s risks had been assessed, although more detail was needed within people’s records to ensure staff had guidance to enable them to act consistently in response to risks and behaviours. People received their medicines as prescribed and staff followed infection control procedures to protect them from the risk of cross infection.

People’s needs were assessed and reviewed to ensure care met their current needs. People’s diverse needs were considered and the provider worked in partnership with other professionals to ensure people’s healthcare needs were met. Staff sought people’s consent before providing care and people’s capacity was assessed to support them to make their own decisions.

Staff were caring and spoke with compassion about the people they supported. People received support that promoted their dignity and independence.

People’s care was designed around them and their needs. People’s communication needs were considered, and staff were matched with people to improve their experience of care and support them to express their wishes. There was a system in place for the management of complaints.

Feedback about the provider was positive. Staff and relatives were confident to provide feedback or raise concerns and expressed confidence in the provider. There were systems in place to monitor the quality of care people received and the provider learned from events to improve and develop the service.
