The provider had ensured staff received training in equality, diversity and inclusion. Systems were in place to seek feedback from people on the service, this was via a quality assurance questionnaire with relatives, regular 1-1 weekly meetings with people, and involvement in their care plans.

Staff understood and treated people as individuals. They spoke about people respectfully. Staff provided examples that showed they tailored their support to meet people’s equality and diversity needs.

Feedback from people and their relatives showed that staff understood them as individuals and supported their individual needs.
