Safe
At our last inspection we rated this key question as good. We looked for evidence that people were protected from abuse and avoidable harm.
This key question has been rated as good. This meant people were safe and protected from avoidable harm. Staff completed risk management plans for all people using the service. Staff used de-escalation techniques and only used restraint as a last resort. Safeguarding practices ensured people were protected from harm. The provider ensured the hospital environment was clean and well maintained. There were enough trained staff to safely care for patients.
However, there was one blind spot that managers had not identified. When we raised this, managers took action to address it.
