Our view of the service
Date of assessment 30 March 2026. The service supports older people, including people living with dementia. At the time of the assessment there were 42 people living at the service. We assessed the service due to breaches of regulation from the previous assessment. At this assessment, we found the provider was no longer in breach of regulations.
Medicines were now managed safely and people had risk plans which detailed allergies. Protocols for as and when medication detailed how people wanted to take their medicines. Records were clear to enable medicines to be administered safely. Governance systems, such as audits, had were now effective in relation to the oversight of medicines.
Further, staff had received an appropriate level of training to meet people’s needs. Staff supported people kindly and with compassion, and people appeared comfortable around staff. People’s care plans contained information about how they liked to be supported. There were clear policies and procedures to guide staff to work safely.
The provider demonstrated lessons learned from incidents and shared these through daily management meetings and meeting with staff. The provider ensured re-training was allocated to staff to ensure continuous improvement.
This person-centred approach to safety, combined with governance and a culture of learning, meant people consistently experienced care that was not only safe but empowering and enabling.
