During an inspection in response to concerns
People felt the home was the right place for their needs. One person saw Adrian House as their long-term home: "I'm trying to treat this place as my home." People enjoyed the flexibility and freedom they had at the home.
We asked people if they had enough to do. People were aware that the provider ran an activities programme on Wednesdays. One person mentioned the staff had organised a Christmas meal at a restaurant. However one person said he did not have enough to occupy him: "Not really. The day goes. ... I just go and visit my friends."
People liked their rooms but their furniture was sometimes in poor condition or not well suited to their needs. Some people using the service said this aspect of the service could be improved.
People said there were enough staff to support them when they needed help. For example, one person said that a staff member sometimes accompanied them when they went shopping.
People using the service told us they were consulted about changes to the service and could make suggestions, for example, at house meetings.
