Our view of the service
Date of inspection 27 April 2026 to 8 July 2026.
At our previous inspection the provider was rated as Good. At this inspection, the rating has remained Good. We identified 1 breach of the legal regulations relating to good governance. There were 2 people using the service at the time of the inspection. This inspection was prompted by an age-related rating. We were greeted warmly by the registered manager and the staff. The provider worked with professionals, supported people to live healthier lives and treated people with care, kindness, dignity and respect. The provider understood and responded to people’s needs.
However, the provider’s quality monitoring systems were not always effective and had not identified the areas for improvement we found such as medicines records not always being completed.
We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.
We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this inspection.
People's experience of this service
People and relatives gave us positive feedback. A person told us they were, “fine.” Relatives told us how staff support to people was, “second to none” and people were looked after in an emergency. People were supported with activities and support from healthcare professionals. Relatives told us people were happy and settled and the home was comfortable. We observed positive interactions between people, relatives, staff and professionals during our onsite visit.
