Our view of the service
St Denis Lodge Residential Home is a care home providing accommodation and personal care for older adults, including those living with dementia. The service can support up to 21 people, and at the time of the assessment, 20 people were living at the service. The assessment took place between 19 and 26 January 2026.
This assessment was carried out to evaluate whether the provider had maintained a good standard of care since the previous review. Safe staffing levels were in place, with additional staff capacity which enabled meaningful interactions with people. Recruitment processes were managed safely.
The service promoted a person‑centred culture, offering people choice and control over most aspects of daily life. Risks to people’s health, safety and wellbeing were assessed and routinely reviewed. People’s health needs were met, and the service maintained strong working relationships with stakeholders and other agencies, including health and social care professionals. Staff were caring, respectful and supported choice and independence.
