Our view of the service
Date of assessment:29 October 2025 to 14 November 2025
Eunha Healthcare Ltd is a domiciliary care service providing the regulated activity personal care which is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating, in people's own homes. At the time of our inspection there were 101 people receiving personal care using the service.
Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided.
We conducted this assessment to follow up on previous breaches of legal regulations relating to; safe care and treatment, staffing, fit and proper persons employed, duty of candour and good governance.
At this assessment, we found some improvements had been made, and the provider had met the breaches of legal regulation in respect of safe care and treatment, staffing, fit and proper persons and duty of candour. However, some areas of improvement still remained, and the provider was still in breach of the legal regulation in respect of good governance. A new breach of legal regulation in respect of consent to care and treatment was also identified.
The provider was responsive to all issues raised during this assessment, and the leadership team had a collective and positive approach to continuing to drive further improvements at the service.
We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment.
People's experience of this service
While the people we spoke to expressed that they were generally happy with their care, our inspection found elements of care did not meet the expected standards.
Feedback from people was mostly positive, however some people did share concerns about staff not staying for the full length of their care call.
Some feedback from relatives indicated there were concerns about staff understanding people’s needs, such as where their relative lived with dementia. One relative said, “[Staff]don’t have a lot of experience with dementia.” This was echoed by other relatives too.
However, other relatives feedback was positive, with a relative, when asked about how caring the staff were, stating, “I am very pleased with them. They are always friendly. They show great concern. They speak to [loved one] in a gentle way. [Loved one] is very deaf. They have to be very patient with repeating themselves. Before they leave, they always check to see if [loved one] needs anything and reassures [them].”
Feedback from a health professional was positive. They told us, “No concerns. Eunha carer’s have always demonstrated a caring approach to their clients and provide each one with dignity and respect. Even with the most challenging of Individuals, who don’t always recognise or accept the support they require in their best Interests.”
People told us staff understood how to respect people’s privacy and dignity.
