Our view of the service

Date of inspection 18 March 2026 and 23 March 2026.

The service is a care home providing support to 7 people with mental health conditions. The service provides long term accommodation for people who need a high level of support with their wellbeing. The inspection was prompted by the length of time since the last inspection and to review the breach of safe environments.

We found the service had made improvements and is no longer in breach of regulation relating to safe environments.

Staff told us the service was a supportive place to work and that it was led by a registered manager who knew them and people well and who was approachable. They

placed people at the centre of their decisions.

Staff knew people well and supported people with appropriate care and kindness.

People’s records were well written and detailed, as were risk assessments. Medicines were well managed and the registered manager had oversight via audits of many aspects within he home.

However, some areas of the house were not in a good state of repair. This included missing door strips on fire doors, which are used to slow the spread of fire, and 2 windows upstairs that did not have restrictors on them. The registered manager had addressed this with their landlord and repairs were completed during the assessment.

Further there were some restrictions in place that the provider had not properly assessed and mitigated. They had not sought agreement from people for CCTV cameras being placed in the laundry, small kitchen and front door nor had they reviewed regularly the locked kitchen. Once these concerns had been raised leaders addressed them promptly. By the end of the inspection, they had been resolved.
