Surgery and Out patients at Nuffield Health Shrewsbury Hospital were last inspected in July 2018 and were rated good overall, with a good rating in all key questions.
We inspected the service as it had not been inspected since 2018 and as such had an aged rating. We inspected this service using our comprehensive assessment methodology.
Our onsite assessment was undertaken on 25 and 26 August 2026.
To get to the heart of patients’ experiences of care and treatment, we ask the same five questions of all services: are they safe, effective, caring, responsive to people's needs, and well-led? Where we have a legal duty to do so we rate services’ performance against each key question as outstanding, good, requires improvement or inadequate. Throughout the inspection, we took account of what people told us and how the provider understood and complied with the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
This was an assessment of Surgery and Outpatients only. Our findings on both of these services can be found in the services section of the report.
