Governance, management and sustainability
The provider had clear responsibilities, roles, systems of accountability and good governance. They used these to manage and deliver good quality, sustainable care, treatment and support. They acted on the best information about risk, performance and outcomes, and shared this securely with others when appropriate.
There was a clear system of ongoing monitoring through audits and spot checks to review the quality of the service provided. A range of audits were regularly conducted, these were detailed and clear. Where audits had highlighted shortfalls, these had been rectified in a timely manner. A lessons learned process was in place. People and staff expressed confidence in the management team and felt the service had a clear management structure and an open and supportive culture. A person told us, “I know who the manager is if I needed them.” A staff member told us, “I’m very happy to go to the management team. They always sort anything needed straight away. I feel supported, they are always checking we are ok and ensure we are given good support. I can speak to them at any time and about anything, we are all very open with each other.” The registered manager and provider had made all notifications to CQC as required by law.
