Our view of the service
We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 27 January 2026.
We found the practice had met regulations.
The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control.
Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.
The practice is in Altrincham and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, near the practice.
The practice had 1 treatment rooms. The total number of staff was 4. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 1 dentist, 1 receptionist and the practice manager.
People's experience of this service
Prior to our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 14 patients. On the day of our inspection, we saw patient feedback from a further 25 patients, who had left online reviews. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

[the dentist} and his team are high professional, welcoming, and take the time to explain treatments clearly.The care is thorough and carried out with great attention to detail, and I always feel comfortable during my appointments and very happy with the outcomes.I have recommended this practice to three other people, all of whom have successfully started going here and are very happy. I would highly recommend Lloyd Street Dental Practice to anyone looking for excellent, professional dental care.”
“I think [the dentist] is an excellent dentist having recently had a few fillings and a deep clean. I had not been to the dentist in years and found him very professional, reassuring and upfront about costs. He cleaned my teeth himself very thoroughly so I can actually see a difference. I have every confidence in him.”
Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. “From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the high standard of hygiene and cleanliness maintained throughout the practice, which immediately put me at ease.”
Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed.
Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. “I would also like to commend the team on their professional and clear communication. Every step of the treatment was explained thoroughly, and any questions I had were answered with patience and care. This level of professionalism greatly contributed to my positive experience.”
Patients said when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources.
The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
