During an inspection looking at part of the service

We visited Vermont House on 21 June 2011. When we visited we found some outcome areas which were not compliant with the Essential Standards for Quality and Safety.

At this visit people were very happy with the care they received and were cared for well.

We received information from the registered manager about improvements they had made as a result of our visit.

Before this review we asked the registered manager to tell us how they had improved. We asked them to give us evidence that they were now compliant. We received this information on 12 December 2011.

During a routine inspection

People told us that they felt safe with the care workers that cared for them. They told us they liked their bedrooms. People said they had enough to occupy their time. One person said staffing had been difficult but it was getting better with more permanent staff. They all said the food was lovely.
