Governance, management and sustainability

Score: 2

The provider had clear responsibilities, roles, systems of accountability and good governance. However, they did not always act on the best information about risk, performance and outcomes.

The audits and systems in place did not pick up the concerns we found with recruitment, which had been identified at the last inspection. Some care records such as those for catheter care, ‘as required’ medicines and best interest decisions needed more comprehensive information. The provider told us they would put plans in place to ensure this is rectified going forward. Other audits which took place were detailed and had action plans in place which included the date the action had been completed.

Partnerships and communities

We did not look at Partnerships and communities during this assessment. The score for this quality statement is based on the previous rating for Well-led.
