The last rating for this service was good (report published 23 March 2018).
We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. We found the service met these principles.
Effective systems and processes were in place to monitor the safety and quality of the service to ensure people consistently received good care and achieved good outcomes. Medicines were managed safely and people received their medicines as prescribed by trained and competent staff.
Risks associated with people’s care were assessed and staff understood their responsibilities to keep people safe. Care records informed staff, for example if a person had capacity to make their own decisions or not. Staff supported people in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests.
Staff had received the training required for their roles and had established positive relationships with the people they supported.
The staff worked in partnership with other professionals to achieve good outcomes for people. Staff were recruited safely and felt supported by the registered manager and enjoyed working for the provider.
