We reviewed 1 quality statement for this key question. We found people were being cared for by staff who had been recruited safely. New staff had an induction and received ongoing training in a variety of topics. There were systems to make sure staff were supported and able to develop their skills. Safe and effective staffing

People told us they were happy with the staff who visited them. Staff were appropriately trained and were caring. People we spoke with told us staff were reliable and they had their visits when needed.

Improvement had been carried out to make sure staff were recruited safely. There were systems to provide staff with the training they required, which the registered manager monitored. The registered manager told us staff had supervision regularly and spot checks were also carried out so staff could be observed supporting people.

Staff told us they had been trained to carry out their jobs safely and said they could ask for more training if they needed it. Staff told us they had opportunity for supervision and had regular feedback to help them develop their knowledge and skills.
