During a routine inspection

We spoke with two patients at the hospital on the day of our visit. They told us they were happy with the care they were receiving. One person told us, 'It feels like I'm in a 5 star hotel.' We also spoke with staff, who told us they liked working at the hospital.

The inspection was undertaken by a CQC inspector and an expert advisor who looked at the management of the Theatres at the hospital.

People's privacy, dignity and independence were respected.

Before people received any care or treatment they were asked for their consent and the provider acted in accordance with their wishes.

People experienced care, treatment and support that met their needs and protected their rights.

People were protected from the risk of infection because appropriate guidance had been followed.

People were cared for, or supported by, suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff.

The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people receive.

During a routine inspection

On the day we visited we spoke to four people. The people we spoke to told us they were happy with the care and treatment they had received at the hospital. They told us they felt involved in making decisions about their care and had been provided with appropriate information to enable them to do this. They also told us they had found the hospital to be clean and the staff to be friendly and polite.
