During an inspection looking at part of the service

People said that they were supported to make choices. We spoke with one new person living at the service who was very pleased with the meals. People who were able to respond said that they felt safe living at Windmill Banks.

During an inspection in response to concerns

Some people who live at Windmill Banks have severe learning difficulties and it was not always possible for them to talk with us. We did however observe that staff were respectful and offered choices about their care and daily routines. People who were able to respond said that they felt safe living at Windmill Banks. They also said that they were cared for and that staff were helpful. People we spoke with said that they enjoyed the food and liked cooking. There is always plenty to eat.
