Our view of the service

Date of Assessment: 22 April 2025 to 13 May 2025. This assessment was carried out in response to CQC receiving information of concern. The service is a residential care home registered to provide accommodation and personal to older people, younger adults and those living with dementia. The providers systems were not always effective in ensuring people received safe care and treatment. Medicines systems were not effective and risks to people were not consistently reviewed when needs changed. Accidents and incidents were not analysed for learning there was a lack of oversight in place and governance systems were not driving improvements. Checks on the environment were not always effective in driving improvements. Care plans were not accurate and up to date and they lacked person centred information including about future wishes.People were safeguarded from abuse. There were enough suitably skilled staff to support people. People had their needs assessed and were supported to maintain their health. Staff were kind and caring and treated people with respect and dignity. People’s immediate needs were met and there were systems in place to listen to the views of people. People received coordinated support and had access to health professionals. There were systems in place to support people and staff which ensured equality, diversity and human rights. There were processes in place for people to speak up if they had any concerns. The provider was in breach of the legal regulations relating to safe care and treatment and governance systems. We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment. In instances where CQC has decided to take civil or criminal enforcement action against a provider, we will publish this information on our website after any representations and/ or appeals have been concluded.
