Our view of the service

Date of assessment: 2 July to 9 July 2026

One to One Plus South is a supported living and outreach service under the organisation Dimension. They support autistic people, people with complex needs and people with a learning disability. At the time of the inspection there were 23 people living across 7 different locations, 18 of which were in receipt of a regulated activity. There were 3 registered managers in post. This inspection was prompted by the age of the previous rating. At our last inspection in February 2019 the service was rated Good. At this inspection the rating has remained Good.

We assessed the supported living aspect of the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to ensure that the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence, and good access to local communities. The service had a shared culture based on choice, control and promoting people’s rights to live as independently as possible, this ethos was reflected in the care we observed.

People were treated with dignity and respect by kind and caring staff who were passionate about their jobs. Staff told us, “The best thing about my job is seeing how much people have positively changed and developed since living here.” The registered managers and staff knew people well, this helped them understand the needs and challenges of those they supported. The registered managers and staff worked collaboratively with professionals to support people to fully maximise their health and wellbeing. People were at the centre of planning and reviewing their care. Risks of harm or abuse were safely managed whilst balancing quality of life.

The provider ensured that people were protected from experiencing inequality or discrimination due to their learning disabilities. Staff had been trained to ensure that people’s individual needs were catered for and to promote an inclusive environment. People were supported by a consistent staff team which enabled them to build positive relationships and autonomy.

The registered managers were supportive and approachable, fostering a culture of openness and honesty. Staff felt valued and empowered in their roles. Staff were treated equally, free from bullying or harassment. The registered managers offered good opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and professional development. Quality assurance systems were in place to monitor and drive continuous improvement at the service.
