We checked that people who use this service

How this check was done

We reviewed all the information we hold about this provider, carried out a visit on 12/09/2011, observed how people were being cared for, talked to staff and talked to people who use services.

Our judgement

Dr Berk Private GP Surgery has suitable arrangements in place to ensure that people are safeguarded against the risk of abuse.

User experience

People we spoke with told us they felt safe and had trust and confidence in the doctors' professionalism.

Other evidence

The doctor keeps up to date with his professional practise on a regular basis, attending annual training courses and conferences that included Child Protection Awareness.The doctor informed us that children were always accompanied by an adult when they accessed services at the surgery. The surgery is supportive of people who wish to be accompanied to their appointments by a relative or a friend. The doctor informed that the female administrator was able to act as a chaparone if people requested to have a second person during personal examinations.
