Our view of the service
Date of assessment: 29 July to 5 September 2025. Secure Care UK Limited provides patient transport services. This was a responsive assessment which looked at patient transport services, in response to limited monitoring information we received from the service.
We rated Secure Care UK Limited as good. In our assessment of patient transport services, we found staff and leaders were committed to improving the experience of care for patients using their secure transport services. The service did this by effectively tracking patient experiences of care for all transport journeys, from the transferring service to the destination service. Senior leaders developed targeted strategies to improve the service, with the needs of the local community and key stakeholders and the local community at the heart of this.
The service had made improvements and was no longer in breach of regulations. Vehicles had been deep cleaned in line with policy. Leaders had oversight of staff induction. Local risks were reflected in risk registers, except for the increased risk of staff injury. Leaders and staff were able to easily access provider policies.
People's experience of this service
We observed 2 secure transport experiences on the day of inspection, where people were treated kindly with compassion and dignity. Patients reported good experiences of care because staff delivered person centred care. We reviewed patient care records completed by the service; patient experience survey data and complaints the service had collected. We also received feedback from 2 external stakeholders on patient experience.
