Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion.

Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.

Each year, the practice collated and audited the patient feedback they had gathered and discussed it at practice meetings. All patients responded, ‘very good’ or ‘good’ to the questions, “How good was the dentist at explaining tests and treatments to you?” and “How good was the dentist at involving you in decisions about your care?”.

People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.

Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported.

The practice held wellbeing weeks for staff including team building activities and sessions on mental health. Staff often did yoga in the garden as part of their daily huddles and the practice provided fresh fruit. There was a wellbeing teddy in the staff room which if picked up indicated a staff member needed someone to talk to.
