Our view of the service
Date of assessment: 20 May to 05 June 2026. The service is a care at home service. Not everyone using the service received the regulated activity of personal care. At the time of the assessment, the provider supported 25 people with personal care.
We carried out this assessment in response to a review of information held about the service. At this inspection we found breaches of the regulations relating to safe care and treatment and good governance.
The provider did not always fully assess or mitigate risks to people, medicines were not always managed safely, and lessons were not always learned when things went wrong to reduce the risk of recurrence. Governance processes were not effective, which meant shortfalls were not always identified or acted on.
The provider had a person-centered approach, treated people with kindness and compassion and staff knew people well and treated them as individuals. People were involved in their care and felt able to speak up. Leaders and staff were passionate about their roles and spoke about people fondly and with compassion.
We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment.
People's experience of this service
People and relatives shared positive feedback about their care. Comments from people included, “They have been a really good safety net for me and my life” and “I feel the service I receive is good in fact overall I am very happy with the service they provide.” Comments from relatives included, “Overall I think the service we are getting meets [relatives] needs” and “The team had been amazing, they genuinely do what they say they’re going to do”. Although we received positive feedback, our assessment found elements of care did not meet the expected standards.
