Our view of the service

We undertook this comprehensive assessment on 1 July 2026.

The service was inspected in line with our assessment priorities due to an aged rating. We assessed all quality statements across the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions and have combined the scores for these areas to give an overall rating. This was the second assessment of the service. We rated the service as good.

People were protected from abuse and improper treatment. The service had enough staff to care for patients and keep them safe. The service investigated incidents and shared learning. Medicines were managed well. The service assessed people’s needs and staff worked effectively together to care for people. Staff treated people with kindness, compassion and dignity. Staff were knowledgeable and interacted with people well. Staff made sure patients understood their care and treatment to enable them to give informed consent. Patients were involved in decisions about their care and treatment. Staff felt respected, supported and valued.

People's experience of this service

We spoke with 6 patients during our assessment. We also reviewed patient feedback forms submitted to the service. Patients and their family were positive about staff being kind and caring. All patients rated their experience as good or very good and all patients would recommend the service to their friends and family. Patients we spoke with were positive about their experience.
