Our view of the service
Date of assessment: 22 and 23 July 2025
Reason for assessment: This was a responsive assessment due to some concerns we identified in relation to a serious incident that occurred at the service. The serious incident related to patient tying a ligature while under close supervision.
During the inspection, we found that the provider had taken appropriate actions to address and mitigate patient safety risks. The provider had demonstrated an active learning culture and acted where necessary.
We assessed a small number of quality statements from the safe and well-led key questions and found areas of good practice.
People's experience of this service
We spoke with three patients during this inspection. Patients told us that staff treated them with kindness and respect. They expressed that the care they received was good and if they had any concerns, they felt able to raise these. One patient told us that seeing other patients being restrained made them feel uncomfortable, however they understood that this was sometimes necessary to keep themselves and others safe.
