Case study: The 'Ask Andrew' webpage

Page last updated: 12 May 2022

Following an inadequate rating in February 2014, Wexham Park Hospital introduced the ‘Ask Andrew’ page on their website.

This makes it easier for all patients and members of the public to contact the chief executive with any queries, concerns or thoughts they have about the trust.

Everyone who makes contact via the webpage receives a personal response from the trust’s chief executive, Sir Andrew Morris.

Listening to concerns helps the trust to gather views of the public and helps to identify any issues early on.

This page and other feedback mechanisms are frequently used by patients and members of the public.

Many feel that:

  • this is proof that they are being listened to
  • their concerns are being taken seriously by the chief executive
  • a different, more inclusive tone has been set
  • hospital staff are seen as approachable, even at the most senior level

Wexham Park Hospital was re-inspected in October 2015 resulting in a rating of good.
