In State of Care we looked at the connection between leadership and the quality of care. To find out more, we visited Frimley Park Hospital, the first service to be rated outstanding after its CQC inspection.
Run by Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey was rated outstanding after we inspected it in the summer of 2014.
Since the publication of our inspection report, Frimley Health has acquired two more hospitals – both of which had been rated inadequate when they were managed by a different trust. These include Wexham Park Hospital in Berkshire, which we inspected again in October 2014. Following this more recent visit, our inspectors rated Wexham Park good overall and outstanding for leadership.
