The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has published a report on Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust following an inspection in June.

CQC carried out an unannounced focused inspection of medical care (including older people’s care) at Manor Hospital to follow up on a warning notice regarding medicines management which had been issued to the trust last October.

Following this latest inspection, CQC found some improvements had been made in the safe management of medicines, however not all the requirements of the warning notice had been fully met. Due to further improvements being needed, the trust was issued with a requirement notice.
