Dr Mark Chakravarty joined CQC as a non-executive director in June 2023.
Mark is a business leader and physician with more than 20 years’ international leadership experience in both the private and public sector. He has worked in medical, marketing, external relations and communications roles for employers including Novartis, Procter & Gamble and the NHS.
He is currently vice chair of the board at National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and non-executive director at Health Innovation Manchester.
He was formerly the chief communications and patient officer for Novartis Pharmaceuticals, and also chief communications officer for Procter & Gamble’s baby, feminine and family care sector.
